Taylor Mackenzie was born in Stirling, Scotland, to parents Niall and Jan. At the age of seven years old he made the move down with his family to Ashby de la Zouch, Leicestershire.

Having 3 times British Superbike Champion Niall Mackenzie as a father meant that racing motorbikes was very much in his DNA. His brother Tarran also races in the British Superbike Championship and they both live and train together at home in the midlands.

Taylor rode bikes from the age of four and after beginning his racing career at the age of 14 he has travelled the globe to race motorbikes ever since.
In 2016 Taylor had his most successful season, crowned the 2016 British Superstock 1000 Champion and Race of the Year Champion, alongside his brother who won the British Supersport championship in the same year.

Another successful season in 2019 saw Taylor challenge for the British Superstock Championship again. After taking four wins, fourteen podiums and two lap records Taylor eventually finished runner up in the standings.

Taylor currently races for the Bathams BMW team in the National Superstock 1000 Championship.
